Floating, free in, free fall

Feeling, all one, with all

Wondering, while we, wander

Wandering, while we, wonder

Why, wondering why, oh where do we go when we die?

But why, wonder why, when why is written in the sky?

Falling, faster, falling

Feeling, for our, calling

Wanting, ever, wanting

Wandering, with out, walking

When, will we grow, from all the seeds that we all sow?

And where, do we go? And when we get there will we know?

Instrumental

When, will we grow, from all the seeds that we all sow?

And where, do we go? And when we get there will we know?

Why, wonder why, oh where do we go when we die?

And why, wonder why, when why is written in the sky?

The Story of 'Written In The Sky'

As above, so below: written in the sky

As with the song 'Empty', my buddy Morgan Roscouet already had the basis of this beautiful tune when I first met him in Portugal. I added a second guitar part at the time, then eventually, years later wrote these lyrics. Like 'Empty' it's a beautiful tune and I couldn't help just drifting off into daydreaming land everytime we played it.

My interest in astrology, which I've studied a lot since I first met Morgan, has led me to a greater perception of how the universe might possibly work, which in turn has given me a lot of comfort and potential answers to the questions I've had about the nature of our existence all my life.

These ponderings seemed to fit the feeling of this tune really well for me and then the lyrics just flowed

This was the first version with the lyrics that we recorded on a hand held recorder in my Camper Van one day out in the campo. As with 'Empty' the vocals could be louder, but I felt this was worth sharing until we meet up again sometime to do a better version
